J-Pac Medical opens dedicated PPE face shield manufacturing line
SOMERSWORTH, NEW HAMPSHIRE – In response to the immediate, acute need for personal protective equipment in healthcare facilities, J-Pac Medical has opened a dedicated manufacturing line to produce protective medical face shields for healthcare providers fighting the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
At full production, the line is expected to produce up to 60,000 medical face shields per week.
J-Shield medical face shields are manufactured of medical-grade PETG plastics under ISO 13485 guidelines in our FDA-registered facility in Somersworth, New Hampshire. The equipment is compatible with all clinical disinfectant agents.
J-Shield PPE medial face shields improve protection with these features:
- 8” length provides better neck coverage
- Wider shield provides ear protection for most wearers
- 1”-deep closed-cell foam headpiece is non-absorbent and prevents vertical contamination
In addition, J-Pac Medical has begun seeking out medical supply distributors, healthcare providers and local & state public health authorities to get this critical personal protective equipment in the hands of doctors, nurses and first responders.
“We’re helping to fight this pandemic the best way we know how: by using our product knowledge and manufacturing technology,” said Jeff Barrett, CEO of J-Pac Medical. “We are using our expertise in plastics processing and medical device manufacturing to produce medical face shields at scale to help first responders and medical professionals that are desperate for protective equipment.”
“We are all in this together and want to help our fellow citizens,” Barrett added. “Please reach out to us.”
