Learn more about J-Shields Medical Face Shields by reading a few of the most common questions we hear from our customers.
Can I reuse the medical face shield?
Yes. However, reusing the face shield requires a cleaning procedure approved by the healthcare institution that are validated per regulatory requirements. The face shield materials are resistant to 10% Bleach, 70% IPA, VIREX and similar cleaning agents.
Studies show that each COVID-19 patient can require healthcare workers to use 50 disposable face shields. We believe this is an unnecessary environmental waste problem and exasperates the shortage of PPE. Reuse the face shield after cleaning with a healthcare institution’s approved cleaning protocol.
What certifications do your medical face shields meet?

The J-Shield medical face shield is Certified ISO 13485:2016 Medical Devices – Quality Management Systems. We are inspected to this standard annually.
The medical grade face shield is CDC – National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Compliant. This is not a formal certification. We can claim that the face shields are compliant to the requirements.
